Add new results!
03 October 2024, by Mark van der Linden
Did you know it is possible to add (your own) results to ProCyclingStats? No? Well, you know now....
However hard we search for results of races all over the world, sometimes we can't find them or just miss out on them. We try and publish as much relevant results and try to share them as complete as possible, but we can't always prevent a race result page from remaining blank or not being able to find the complete result. This is where you can help us!
Are you a junior, under 23 or elite rider (M/F) and do you miss results of your recent races on your own profile, or are you an avid follower of more obscure but high level national races that we haven't (entirely) published yet? Help us (and yourself) by sending in the complete results through our 'contribute' functions.
There are two options to contribute results, being contributing results on races that are already in our PCS National Calendar and races that are not.
Contribute on races in the PCS National Calendar.
As you may know PCS has an extensive calendar of national (being non-UCI registered) races. Those are races published in the official calendars of dozens of national and regional federations. However, finding out that there is a race is one thing, finding the (complete) results is another. If you have (more) complete results than we are showing on the website you can easily share them with us in two different ways.
1. Click on the blue 'Contribute results' in the PCS National Calendar
This link is only shown when there are no results for this race/stage yet.
In this national calendar you can easily search and filter to show the races relevant to your liking.

2. Add more results lines to an existing result.
In the case we did find a partial result of a race (e.g. the top 3 or 10) and you have the complete results, you can share help us by sharing the full result. You can do so by searching for the relevant race in the calendar (also found by clicking Races > National in the main menu) and navigate to the 'Contribute results' subpage under 'More' in the race-menu.

Both methods will bring you to the same contribution page that will look similar to the screenshot below.

We need a valid source of information for each contribution. This can be the official results pdf, a link to the official timekeeper or a link to the result in the database of the relevant federation. A link to an image of one of the aforementioned sources is also valid.
In the textbox underneath you can copy and paste the results of the race in plain text. PCS will do the rest!
In the menu on the right you can also navigate to the 'Contribute info' page which will bring you to a page similar as the one shown below. On this page you can add relevant (Is that the most used word in this article? I think so...) information regarding the selected race. The more info we have on start/finish locations, distance, profile types etc. the better. Again, only information with a trackable source will be taken into consideration.

Contribute new races.
That said it is also possible to add new races to the calendar. If the race you're looking for is not yet part of the PCS National Calendar, you can simply add it by again navigating to the PCS National Calendar (also found by clicking Races > National in the main menu) and then clicking on the blue link that says: "Contribute new result".

Doing so will bring you to the page shown in the screenshot below.

Here you can fill out the form with the info relevant for the race you want to add as well as pasting the result in the large textbox.
Note: only Women Junior, Men Junior, Women U23, Men U23, Women Elite and Men Elite races will be published.
There are a few restrictions for PCS to consider results contributions:
- We always need a valid source
- We only process full results (except top-10s if full results are unavailable
