Time trial ranking

menu
The PCS time trial ranking is based upon a point scale designed for this ranking. These are the differences compared to the regular PCS ranking point scale.

  • More riders receive points
  • More points for lower positions

The reason for these differences are that we are trying to compare the time trial capabilities of riders, whereas the PCS ranking is a best rider ranking. For example, in the regular PCS scales, a rider that wins a Tour de France time trials receives 100 points and the number 10 receives only 10 points, a ratio of 10. In the PCS time trial point scale, the winner receives 200 points and the number 10 receives 60 points, a ratio of 3.3. This ratio better represents the difference in time trial capabilities.
