Description

After winning the stage to Monaco earlier in the 1952 Tour de France, Dutch Tour-debutant Jan Nolten dropped his companions Bartali and Geminiani during the ascent of the Puy de Dôme. At a kilometre from the top Yellow jersey-wearer Fausto Coppi overtook the Dutch rider to win the stage.
