Juan Sebastián Molano beat Craig Wiggins in the final sprint in stage 2 of the 2022 Tour de Langkawi. However, five hours later, it was declared that Molano had been relegated from first place to the last place of his group because of an "irregular sprint", giving Wiggins his first professional win.
With his win, Wiggins became the third Australian to win (out of three finishes in total) in Raub in the Tour of Langkawi. Brett Lancaster won in 2004. A year later it was Graeme Brown who took the victory in the Malaysian city.
