Key events can be any memorable event, for example an impressive victory but also a major crash, bold solo or anything that makes for sporting memories.
In the days leading up to the 2024 Paris-Roubaix, the organisers announced a slight change in the route. In the name of safety, a chicane was added right before the riders would enter the Trouée d'Arenberg cobbled section. Some riders applauded the decision, others ridiculed it, but the addition had the planned effect: the riders entered the cobbled section at a much lower speed. During the race, Mads Pedersen was the first rider through the chicane.
