Due to a crash at aproximately 36 kilometers from the finish, the race was neutralised. The race organisers decided to let the six breakaway riders continue to race and fight for the stage win. The rest of the peloton made their way to the finish neutralised behind the race director's car. Times did not count towards the GC, remaining KOM and intermediate sprints were cancelled, and no points or bonification seconds were awarded at the finish. Therefore, no PCS points are awarded beyond sixth place. The UCI decided to award no points whatsoever.
