After a rider protest with 2 laps to go on a local circuit, the riders were convinced to finish the last 20 km. However, the riders simple rode at a moderate spead with noone attacking. A few riders sprinted for the win, with Samuele Marzoli beating Francesco Planckaert, but the jury determined there would be no result as there "hadn't been any real racing".
