Aggressive from the start, the race quickly saw an early breakaway of three riders, soon joined by another trio. The peloton regrouped ahead of the decisive finale, where the famous ribinou sector of Keradraon shattered the race and produced a select lead group featuring Cosnefroy, Lapeira, Wright, Hagenes and Askey. Their advantage proved short-lived as a reduced peloton fought back before the final lap around Lannilis. Wright sparked another wave of attacks on Keradraon, but it was Fiorelli who delivered the winning move, attacking on the final ribinou sector of Meshuel with 3 kilometers remaining before soloing to victory.
